This set of four Classic Twill Towels from Weaver's Craft #17 is my latest weaving project. I have made this pattern before and thought that they turned out a bit small, so this time I modified them a bit from the original instructions by adding one more repeat in the width and also making them longer so that the overall size is larger. The warp and weft are 10/2 pearl cotton. I hand-hemmed them.
These were made as a wedding gift for the daughter of my friend, Suzy. Her beautiful wedding was last weekend, held among the family's citrus grove with an appropriate citrus theme. I wish I had taken a picture of the cake, citrus-colored layers separated by whole citrus fruit.
